Butterflies of the genus
Agrias are highly priced by collectors and countless forms has been
described. I want to use the work from Mr. Späth because he uses no form
names.
Mr. Späth recognises 9 species. Other people working on the genus Agrias
differs between 4 and 9 species.
Butterflies of the genus Agrias spend most of their time in the forest
canopy. They are attracted to rotting fruits, fish and mammal dung.
Agrias are strong fliers and verry shy. Not much is known about their
early stages. The main flight time observed by myself comparing collecting
data from my own species those at the internet and from books in my own
library is between October and March to April.
